Esten, a Pittsburgh native and longtime friend of mine is a talented creative, spiritualist and couturier… Someone I’ve had make and have received pieces and outfits from . With his excellent ability to create fashionable and stylish works of art to fit the size and needs of his clients he is “more than just your average showgirl.” Esten or more commonly known as Amour pronounced like “Amor” is a dancer, creative, artist and all around designing powerhouse in the making and I believe this individual’s inner and outer beauty should be recognized and showcased.

When asked “When did your realize fashion was your calling?” Amourr replied “Honestly when Rihanna came out with the Savage X Fenty Vol. I that really made me want to tap into the designer part of me, she more so inspired me to showcase my work, from the design, the fashion and divine feminine energy she portrayed in her fashion shows.” In terms of fashion role models, Amour channels the sexiness and unapologetic expression of Rihanna, the spiritual and feminine divinity of Teyana Taylor and Erykah Badu in their freedom wear.

Esten is a spirit of freedom and they truly show it in many ways, from their time in the ballroom scene by using voguing as means to express their feminine energy in a positive way, wig styling, and expressive photography. In his off days he can be found tending to his plants, communing with his cat Sage, meditating, collaborating with other creatives as well as thinking of new creations and mediums of expression.

As far as spiritualism is concerned, candle and incense burning, meditation self exploration, divination as well as jewelry creation are very important to Amour. Esten is an old soul with a very modern and alternative twist, very mutable in nature and can find the beauty in anything and anyone. But what can I say he is a fellow Gemini.
